Photo/Video Creator? Hybrid shooter?

I try not to stress the labels, but it is an interesting question when people ask what I do. I am a freelance media producer - though sometimes it’s just easier to say ‘photographer’.

I got my start in 2016, as a hobbyist video creator. I got asked if I would do some custom content a few times, and the rest is kind of history ! My first ‘professional’ commission, I got paid with a tub of pre workout, protein samples and amino acids, and I was hooked from then on.

I’ve since gone on to work with individuals, small businesses, and large scale international companies, from all industries - fitness, beauty, real estate/contracting/landscape, travel, and many more. As a photographer, my work has been published in Inside Fitness Magazine, featured in many partnership brand deals with wide reaching influencers, and perhaps most importantly to me - a cherished memory and a fun experience for hundreds of people in the GTA.

‘GRIT’ is Indepdendent Documentary short film, directed, shot and edited by Kevin Cootauco. It follows the story of Dan Petkovsek, an elite powerlifter and his journey through his youth as an athlete, founding and building a gym that would grow to be one of the top powerlifting training centres in the city, starting a family, growing a business, and finding his way back to the sport he loves that started it all. A story of perseverance, a do-it-yourself mentality, and the value of hard work.
